| Lakewood, NJ—Creative Film Corporation announces an environmental revolution in graphic film technology with the launch of Green Earth™ Film, the only suitable commercially available graphic film not based on petroleum. This holographic film is constructed from a unique vegetable resin that offers several benefits over the industry’s standard petroleum-based alternatives. |
Derived from American-grown, renewable vegetable sources such as wheat, potatoes, and corn, Green Earth™ Film is entirely PVC-free and meets all Food and Drug Administration requirements for packaging. It is 100 percent biodegradable and can be composted similar to paper and board products. Green Earth™ Film employs two of Creative Film Corp.’s hallmark manufacturing processes: “second surface,” a technique that guarantees smooth printing on any design or texture, and body coloring, which provides even, long-lasting color.
“Green Earth Film is a huge step forward in the technology of graphic films,” said Creative Film Corp. President Gene Silvestro. “It’s environmentally sound, renewable, and uses American-grown products. This product represents the future of graphic film.”
Designed primarily for packaging, Green Earth™ is currently available in Silver #10, but Creative Film Corp. plans to offer the product in all Polychrome™ Polish and Fantasy finishes soon. “We expect eventually our entire line will be available in the Green Earth format,” noted Mr. Silvestro.
Green Earth™ Film is available in a standard width of 63 centimeters and a standard thickness of 65 to 75 microns. Widths of up to 86 centimeters and thicker films are available for special order.
